Hard drive partitioning

Hard drive partitioning means to divide your computer hard drive into several logical storages.  Having more than one partition, mean that you can treat each and every logical storage as separate disks.

Many people are afraid to save their pictures/files on their computer.  Having several partitions on your hard drive allows you to install windows on one partition and save all your files and pictures on another partition.

By doing so, if one day your windows have crashed or need to reinstall windows, well you have nothing to worry about.

Another reason why you would use partitioning is may be you need to have multiple Operating Systems on your hard drive; for example, windows and Linux.
